Mr. Chom Phannit is a 21-year-old second-year Information Technology student at the National University of Battambang (NUBB). He comes from Ou Trel Village, Thala Barivat Commune, Thala Barivat District, Stung Treng Province. Before joining the Future Leaders Center (FLC) Scholarship Program, Phannit faced significant financial barriers that limited his educational opportunities. His family could not afford additional training courses, and he lacked both practical work experience and the professional skills needed to compete in today's job market.

Financial hardship made it difficult for Phannit to invest in his personal and professional development. Without access to English, computer, or soft skills training, he felt unprepared for employment and lacked confidence about his future career. The absence of practical work experience further reduced his opportunities to secure meaningful employment while studying.

The Future Leaders Center (FLC) Program provided Phannit with comprehensive support through free training in English, computer skills, and soft skills, while also connecting him with career and employment opportunities. Beyond technical knowledge, the program introduced him to the realities of the workplace, helping him understand employer expectations and prepare for future employment. Through continuous mentoring and practical learning, FLC created an environment where he could strengthen both his professional competencies and personal confidence.

Participating in the FLC Scholarship Program brought significant changes to Phannit's life. He developed stronger English and computer skills, gained confidence in public speaking, and became more comfortable expressing his ideas in front of others. The program also helped him understand the working environment, recognize his own strengths and areas for improvement, and prepare effectively for future employment. Today, he is more confident, career-focused, and equipped with the practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

Remaining challenges: Although Phannit has developed strong professional skills, he continues to improve his teaching and communication abilities, particularly in explaining lessons clearly to others. He recognizes that effective communication is an important skill that will strengthen his future career and leadership potential.
