Miss.Ra Sela’s Personal Growth

Miss.Ra Sela’s Personal Growth

My name is Ra sela, I am a student at the University of Management and Economics and also a student at Future Leader Center. I was born in Thmarkul, Battambang. I moved to my homeland when I started studying at the university in Battambang in 2020. At that time, I want to improve my English and computer skills. I was looking for a school which had both of these subjects. Then, I got to know Future Leader Center through my friends. They introduced FLC to me to study there. It was easy for me to study two subjects at the same school. I have studied there for almost three years.

FLC is more special than the others that I have known because it doesn’t only teach students about languages and computers. They provide us with soft skills as scholarships such as Leadership Courses; Book Clubs and Self-Development Workshops; in the 21st Century as well. All of these courses help to expand my knowledge, strengthen, and my capacity. Moreover, it helped me to make new friends, work in a team, make us responsible for ourselves, and know how to organize time. It complements capital skills and language. On the other hand, the Future Leader Center helped to motivate and provide job opportunities.

In 2022, my university has a BOOK CLUB program. It is a chance for me to use the knowledge and skill from FLC that I have learned in FLC BOOK CLUB. Then, I decided to apply as a BOOK CLUB Leader in American Corner at the University of Management and Economics. It doesn’t mean that I am good at speaking or reading book; however, I can learn from the members of the Club. We can learn and grow together for our society and the next generation. After that, I am learning and sharing what I have. I can lead the other students to do the activities in this club as I have experience from FLC. It is very great for me to improve my knowledge.

In the next generation, I hope that they will work hard to improve their existing skills to further develop. Finally, I would like to thank some of the excellent centers that have allowed me to learn hard skills and soft skills at the same time.

Miss.Ren Reaksa’s Path to Success

Hello! My name is Ren Reaksa. I am 21 years old. I am from Thmorkoul District, Battambang Province. Nowadays, I am a student at the National University of Battambang and I am studying in year 4, majoring in Science Education. And, I work as a full-time teacher at Future Leader Center (FLC) in Thai subjects.

After I finished grade 12 in 2020, I had to continue to study in University in Battambang city. At the same time, I was looking for a school to study English, Thai, and Computer. Then, I decided to study at FLC which my friends and teacher told me. I have studied at Future Leader Center, I have joined workshops like “Goal Setting For Learning, Career Readiness and etc.”, some short courses like “Public Speaking Skills, 10 common Habits of All Successful People, Sustainable Development and Community, Leadership and Community Development and etc.”. Especially, I joined contests like “The Thai Speaking Contest 2021 where I got 1st place, Debating Forum Contest 2021, and I got 2nd place.” In addition, I was a volunteer youth member of the Book Club at Future Leader Center. I learned a lot of skills and experiences. I can improve myself while I study and start working here. One day, FLC posted a job announcement of Thai Full-time teacher. I saw this opportunity, then I applied in this position. After I did an assessment test and interview, Finally I passed and got this job. I was glad that I have a chance to work at FLC in 2021 until present. All of my achievement, it comes from what I have learned at FLC. I hope FLC still provides soft skill training courses to youth who have to know about it.

I am very thankful for FLC and supporters that give the opportunity to build my confidence and my Thai language skills that can support my work. And also, I appreciate that they provided me good experience and consultation that FLC always gives me about my work and study. Thank you for giving me this day.

"Your giving is the best chance for me."
Im Leakena’s Transformation Empowered by FLC.

Im Leakena’s Transformation Empowered by FLC.

Hi! I am Im Leakena. I was born in Battambang. Now, I am a student at SBUBB who is studying English literature in year 3. Now I work as a kinder-teacher at Advance International School. I am also a math teacher at CCMA on the weekend. Before I got these jobs, I studied English and Computers at FLC for three years after I finished high school. I know FLC from my teacher.

When I moved to study in Battambang City in 2020, I started studying here and worked as a Volunteer too. Being a volunteer here provides me with a lot of knowledge, more confidence, experiences, and many chances to develop myself. Learning English at FLC is not about focusing only on language, FLC conducted many short courses, workshops, and contests for students to join to gain more knowledge. Attending workshops and short-course which have many people from different organizations and schools is such a good opportunity for me to learn about new people and develop my communication skills with them. All the contests and courses at FLC provide me confidence and let me know how to be well-prepared for being a staff.

More importantly, FLC also taught me how to write a good CV and cover letter when I was looking for a job. FLC has a website for posting job opportunities for students who are looking for a job (www.jobseekkh.com). I get a chance to be a kind teacher and math teacher through FLC as well nowadays. With all of the results that I got from here, I want to see FLC continue its best for students there. Especially, I especially hope FLC keeps making courses about soft skills through workshops, short-course, and contests to help students develop themselves in the twenty-first century. I want to give a big thanks to FLC for being a great place for me and other students to develop our abilities. We have to work and study hard too. It does not always depend on the school one side. And thanks for always giving us good advice and not only teaching us about school life, and work life but also social life.
