Equip the Learning Center
The learning center is equipped with necessary materials and resources. This includes defining the required equipment, purchasing it, and installing it within the center. The equipment ensures that the center is well-prepared to support a range of educational activities and cater to diverse learning needs.
Install Library and Playground
A library and playground are installed at the learning center. The necessary materials, including books and playground equipment, are identified and purchased. These facilities are then set up to enhance the learning experience and provide students with recreational opportunities.
Select 150 Students
To enroll 150 students in the pre-school program, ensuring they have access to quality education.
Recruit & Train Staff and Teachers
To assemble a qualified team of educators and support staff for the learning center.Four recruited teachers undergo training coordinated with the Provincial Department of Education (PoE). The training curriculum is developed in collaboration with the PoE, and sessions are conducted to enhance the teachers’ skills and methodologies.
Conduct Partnership Agreement with the Department of Education
A partnership agreement is established between PKO and the Department of Education of Battambang, formalizing the collaboration on the Sustainable Education Project (SEP).
Develop and Test Educational Methodologies
Ongoing development and testing of methodologies and approaches to deliver quality education are conducted. This includes experimenting with remedial classes and compiling successful strategies into a manual for teaching from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Develop Teaching Methodology Manual
A teaching methodology manual is developed through team meetings and the establishment of an advisory committee. The committee provides advice and feedback, ensuring the manual is comprehensive and effective.
Distribute marketing materials and post regularly on social media.
Marketing materials such as brochures are created and distributed to inform parents about the significance of education and school fee contributions. Developed by the program manager and learning center team with a graphic designer’s aid, these materials aim to raise awareness. Additionally, regular updates about the learning center and its activities are posted on social media platforms.
Hold Awareness Workshops for Parents
Seven awareness workshops are conducted for 350 parents to educate them about the value of education and the importance of paying school fees. These workshops are organized by the executive director, program manager, and learning center director.
