Ms. Sok Sophary is a 22-year-old fourth-year Khmer Literature student at Preah Sihanouk Raj Buddhist University. She lives in Slakram Village, Wat Ta Mim Commune, Sangke District, Battambang Province. Before joining the Future Leaders Center (FLC) Scholarship Program, Sophary came from a family with a modest income, making it difficult to cover educational expenses. Despite these financial challenges, she remained determined to pursue higher education and achieve her dreams.

The greatest obstacle Sophary faced was financial hardship. The cost of tuition, study materials, and daily living expenses often caused stress and made it difficult for her to fully concentrate on her studies. Like many university students from low-income families, she worried about whether she would be able to continue her education while meeting her basic needs.

Through the Future Leaders Center (FLC) Scholarship Program, Sophary received not only financial assistance but also opportunities to develop personally and professionally. The program provided soft skills training, mentorship, leadership development, and participation in various educational activities. These experiences equipped her with practical knowledge, strengthened her confidence, and prepared her for future employment.

The support from FLC has transformed Sophary's academic journey and personal growth. She has become more confident, improved her academic performance, and developed stronger communication and leadership skills. More importantly, she now has a clear vision for her future and believes in her ability to achieve her goals. The scholarship enabled her to focus on learning while building the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career.

Remaining challenges: Although Sophary has made significant progress, she continues to face the challenge of balancing her university studies, personal responsibilities, and other activities. She also manages ongoing daily living expenses while preparing for graduation and her future career.
