On 6 October 2026, Puthi Komar Organization (PKO) delivered emergency relief assistance to 120 families across five villages in Ou Dambang I Commune who had been severely affected by recent flooding.
This rapid humanitarian response was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Nick Buckley Wood. His support enabled PKO to provide essential food, daily necessities and emergency supplies to families experiencing serious difficulties because of the floods.
The relief initiative focused on three key areas: meeting families’ immediate needs, supporting their safety and wellbeing, and bringing encouragement and hope during a challenging period.
PKO staff worked closely with local authorities and community representatives to organize the distribution and ensure that the assistance reached affected families. Their cooperation was essential to implementing the response effectively and supporting those most in need.
This initiative reflects PKO’s commitment to standing alongside vulnerable communities during times of crisis. Timely humanitarian assistance not only addresses urgent needs but also helps communities begin their recovery and rebuild with greater strength and confidence.
PKO extends its sincere appreciation to Nick Buckley Wood for his kindness and generous contribution. We also thank the local authorities, community representatives, staff and everyone who helped make this emergency response possible.
Together, this initiative supported 120 families across five villages, providing essential assistance and hope when they needed it most.
